Interviewing Technique?

I went for an interview a couple of weeks ago when I was called up by a lady who had got my C.V. from somewhere and invited me for an interview... but didnt explain what this was for just said we are a marketing company.....and I went along thinking that this an agency and I was rgistering and would find out when I got there.....I did fill in a form and then was interviewed by the manager ...when I asked questions he kind of refused to answer them becasue they gave away too much for a first stage interview like what products have they sold ? and what has been thehir past achievments? then he said if I was successful I would come to a second stage interview to learn more and be given a full days training....which I have been offered and I still dont quite know what this is about.....I am a bit apprehensive although have committed myself...DOes anyone have any experience of this type of interview process and what their experience has been?

Interviewing Technique?
This interview process is called shady.

Most respectable jobs are proud to tell you what they are all about, how they work and what you would be doing to help them and how they would be able to help you. During my job searches I've had conversations like this before, and if the interviewer (or sometimes recruit scout) won't answer my questions I ignore them. They are simply trying to get you to put a lot of time and effort into the interviews so you'll be more likely to commit to something that they know you would refuse if it was laid out in the first place.

The job is either something you don't want to do, you'll have to pay for, or will have trouble making money (unrealistic commision) or could totally be a scam. I'd look for a respected company with a history that people would be more than happy to talk about.
Reply:Yes! Run the other way, these scam marketing companies are always looking for people who don't ask questions and just do what they are told.
Reply:Hello,

(ANS) Its completely obvious that if the company wont tell you what the job or post actually is then you should walk away, why? because its either a terrible job or its verging on illegal.

**NOTE: In my experience a genuine employer would have absolutely no problem telling you what the job or position is up front.

**If the company wont tell you then there must be some shady reason why? what do they have to cover up, what don't they want to tell you up front, etc?

**How can anyone go for a job interview without knowing what the job is?? thats non sense something smells fishy too me !!.
