How do employers decide whether or not ....10 points. Thanks?

they will hire person, A, B, C, or D? You know the interview only last 30 minutes to 1 hour. They have to meet many applicants per days everyday. How do they decide? How do they remember everything? I know some interviewers don't even take notes.

How do employers decide whether or not ....10 points. Thanks?
They don't remember everything, usually decision based on impression (rational or emotional), it all question of probability and some preferences. Formally they seek balance between productivity (competence) and the price (wage), also some risks and other long-term factors are involved. It also concerns possible income distribution psychology, if you fit local business environment and some externalities. In reality friendships, relatives, politics, discrimination stuff can be involved.
Reply:Each employer has their own standards and methods of hiring. Sometimes it can be something as simple as "hitting it off" with a candidate as a good colleague. Most employers base their decision on one or more of the following factors: Chemistry and presence during interviews; Good personal and professional references, Relevant Work Experience, Skills, Education, and personality. There is no magic formula or answer as to why Company A hires employee 2 instead of 5, etc. Some companies have large hierarchies and you have to pass muster on several levels so to speak, where as there are small businesses that will hire you just based upon your likeability. So, you are correct in that it doesn't always make sense. As another example, there are some people who get hired strictly because a friend or relative recommended them. If you email me the company where you would like to work, I can give you a better idea of their HR practices. Take care and GOOD LUCK! Andrea
Reply:You should always remember their name and ask for a business card, that way you can mail them a Thank You letter after the interview, it always leaves a good impression and they know you really want the job. if you don't remember the address google it.
Reply:They go off of intial impression.

It is pretty obivous to them as to what kind of person the interviewee is.
Reply:they go by appearances and the knowledge of the job..how they treat others etc..some write notes some just remember and rule some out as they leave then they don't have to remember anymore..
Reply:I pick people whom I think are most suited for a job i.e. they meet certain criteria.
