Barack Obama tells the truth and gets slammed. I want a man running for presidency to honest?

One of Clinton's staunchest supporters, Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Ind., acknowledged there was some truth in Obama's remarks. But he said Republicans would use them against him anyway.

Obama 'Deeply' Regrets Choice of Words

If I worded things in a way that made people offended, I deeply regret that," Obama said in an interview with the Winston-Salem (N.C.) Journal.

I like a man who is truthful. Tell me what you think?

Barack Obama tells the truth and gets slammed. I want a man running for presidency to honest?
Damn right. I hope Obama shoves the truth down their throats !
Reply:Obama has apology and said he could have use different words. I think he is telling the truth. The Bush and Clinton administration has given small town the shaft. They have been sending jobs overseas for years. Plus, Bush has f***ed us for eight years. Sometimes people can't handle the truth and they get mad at the messenger. I agree. I rather have someone tell me the truth than lie to my face. what 81% of the people who think the country is heading seriously in the wrong direction are all happy and merry about their futures? Get a grip For those you who didn't listen to the whole video but only want to take out stuff for your benefit and make it a negative spin on Obama. Some one from the audience asked him the question. He didn't just bring the subject up on his own. I was watching Fox News and the white analysis said Obama is telling the truth but the PA voters will not vote for him because of it. The governor Rendell already said white voters will not vote for Obama because he is a black man. They aren't ready for a black president. That's racist but is true.

Obama '08.
Reply:It wasnt the wording!

It was the sentiment that is out of touch..
Reply:How is Sen. Obama telling the truth? I remember watching one of his townhall meetings and someone asked him about the NAU and CFR. He said he had no idea about the NAU and he also said that he is not a member of the CFR. He's on the frickin' committee!
Reply:Yeah, I prefer the truth as well. My candidate of choice got crucified for telling the truth as he sees it. We all complain that politicians never make a clear stand on the issues, yet we vilify them when they do. Insanity.
Reply:So he told the truth abot how he feels. But I don't think his "truth" is going to make eople feel good about him
Reply:They had his speech writers write that for him... maybe I'd vote for the speech writer... NOT OBAMA

You sound out of touch of the rural yahoo answerer
Reply:It seems to me that the Clinton campaign is doing a good job using it against him..
Reply:I'm sure HE thinks that is the truth.
Reply:There is little to no truth in what Obama said. I live in a small town and I am not a bitter person. To make those statements in front of San Francisco fat cats makes me doubt his honesty.
Reply:Wow. are there really bigots like you out there in the real world?

scary stuff.
Reply:hahahahahahaha a truthful man in politics. Yeah, and Santa Claus is real.
Reply:the man did not make those remarks to the people of Pa. he made them behind closed doors in san francisco to his elitist liberal donors...he got caught and now is trying to spin his way out......rev wright sort of went away...this will not
Reply:He only regrets it because he got caught once again. This time dissing people in Pa in front of elitist San Fran metro sexuals.
Reply:So you think the 'truth' is grouping all small town Americans together and giving them the same personalities and characteristics. Have you met every small town American? Or maybe you and Peter H are just unapologetic stereotyping bigots.
Reply:Thats the thing. He didn't tell the truth. People aren't religious because they're out of work. People aren't opposed to illegal immigration because they're poor. People are for the 2nd Amendment because the Factory left town. Rural people aren't racists and bigots.
Reply:Its not truthful to say that people turn to religion because of bitterness.

As a Christian myself, I do find Obama's remarks, and apparent hatred of religion offensive.
Reply:You my Dear our very naive.
Reply:I'm a Canadian and I shudder with the thought of Obama or Clinton in the White House.. I think they're both embarassing and I can't take either one of them seriously.
Reply:I notice Obama clings to a racist church. Hypocrite! Can't wait to see him get his a** kicked.
Reply:Obama is ANYTHING but truthful!

Wake up woman!

1) Obama is not a Muslim. But he continues to insist he never was. This is a plain lie. Why he makes it, remains beyond us.

2) He claims no relationship to Islam. Utter lie. A majority of his brothers and sisters, and other relatives are Muslim.

3) Obama’s opposition to the Iraq war, while laudable in hindsight made little sense in 2002, except when his family, ethnic, and religious identity enter the equation.

5) Obama consistently downplays his relationship with Jeremiah Wright.

6) Lies about Wright’s personal influence.

7) Lies about his involvement with Wright’s politics, and the politics of Wright’s Church.

8) Obama forces Jeremiah Wright to dissimulate about the nature of his church, his and their views, opinions, and achievements.

9) Obama dissimulates on Wright’s past association with Farrakhan.

10) Obama employs Nation of Islam, in the past and present. Lets them go untouched, which

11) Raises concerns about Obama’s own stance on the Nation of Islam.

12) Obama dissimulates about his former take on Israel, and the Palestinians, putting in question his present stance.

13) Obama misrepresents his background, and the context from which he hails, for political purposes.

14) his books are fraught with lies about himself.

15) Obama’s campaign deliberately exploits his racial identity, to shield their candidate from regular media grilling.

16) Obama has chosen a deliberate strategy of evasion and vagueness in tackling tough issues. He does not take a stand, and he wont.

17) Obama’s rise to prominence, in Chicago, is fraught with deus ex machine events, and strange circumstances.

18) Why Obama’s record in Chicago, has not received a proper vetting or review by the national media, is puzzling.

19) Obama entered Havard because his father was an Alumnus.

20) It is not clear when changed his name from Barry Soetoro, and why.

21) The Media refuse to ask him questions about all of the above. Why?

22) Obama is a pathological liar, hence so are the media. He is a phony, and the media are complicit in foisting him on the Democratic party.
Reply:Hussein: stands alone on his own little Island,, He shot his

mouth off to a handpicked group of Billionares in SF. They

asked him very simply, why he was losing his butt in PA.

and he reacted, and told them how he felt.. This was no mis-

speak. This was this ingrates true opinion of what he thinks

about small town and rural America,, He is turning into the

Mike Dukakis of 2008,, this Individual, has never had to face

a tough race,, He is showing his inability to stay on message.

and His lack of experience is dealing with People as smart

if not smarter than he thinks he is. He will fail and fail miserably within the next 4 months.. All he will have left is

the Kool aid crowd, and we all know what there worth,, Not

a damn thing.
Reply:I don't understand why politicians don't get it: to get elected, you keep your remarks to the bare minimum. He did a great job of that earlier in the race with his message of hope. He even weathered the Wright controversy with a well-made, well-measured speech.

Now that he's ahead, Obama starts shooting his mouth off.

McCain's got this election in the bag because the Demos (Hillary, Obama) are destroying themselves each week with a stupid remark or a stupid remark from somebody in their camp (Ferraro, Wright). McCain's got a lot of extra fodder...
Reply:i do agree
Reply:People do not like truth, they want to hear what they want to hear, anything else is some evil conspiracy.

Voters in the US act like children, someone doesn't tell you what will make you happy then b!tches throw a tantrum.

It's embarassing.

Whether or not Obama is an honest man is irrelevent, I believe he's more honest than the current occupant in the white house and anything is an improvement, but people need to get out of their tribal thinking
Reply:Whenever Obama goes off script, he sounds like a whack job. Be careful.
Reply:Amen, sister. It about time we had ourselves a President who will tell us the truth no matter if we want to hear it or not.
Reply:I want an honest man who won't suger-coat things and lie to Americans like Bush and Hillary Clinton. Obama08

Reply:Yes!

Truth would be very refreshing after 8 years of Bush and his cronies.

.
Reply:yes
Reply:Yup, he just said what a lot of us have been thinking. He has more cojones than a lot of politicians. There ARE a lot of ignorant, clingy small-town people who are racist, xenophobic, use religion as a crutch, etc.

IF THAT DOESN'T DESCRIBE YOU: Why are you so offended by it? He's talking about "other small-town people."

I live in one of the biggest cities in America, if some politician started talking about how some people in cities are pushy, unfriendly, overly ambitious, morally bankrupt people, I wouldn't take offense unless I felt I matched that description.
