How easy is it for a young person to get work????

..... really unless you study in the exact sector to which you want to work in,..... (which is hard to choose at 18, and most dont want to do same thing all life... ) how easy or hard is it to get a job that pays over 12,000 anually, unless its one off work.... im just a young girl..... not seeing much of a future unless i become an entrepuneer .. or however you spell it...........





another thing.... why dont schools teach about bills, and how to write a c.v? what to say in an interview......

How easy is it for a young person to get work????
It is hard, i am a mentor for young people and find that the world wants you to have experience plus pay you sh#t money alot of the people i see get treated like second class citizens, my advice is this- do some voluntarily work anything, if you dont like it cross it off the list keep going till something catches your interest do this whilst in a job so you can get two references one from each and have money coming in this will give you experience, if you have a business idea along the way there are loads of initiatives out there and grants for young people to set up their own business try to plan ahead think references, experience build it up bit by bit and you can acheive it - see if there is a mentoring service in your area by contacting a youth organisation, try the careers office and just keep looking til you find someone who can help support you dont give up - i left school with no exams i am now a single mum in the process of setting up my own business help is out there go online type in mentoring service or youth support etc Good luck
Reply:I'd go with what the witch says I'm 27 and a single mum and wasn't sure what i wanted to do for a long while but I've now got an appointment on Thursday with homestart who visit mums with children under 5 to give them support i think I'd like to become a support worker so thought I'd do some voluntary work to make sure i like it and also gain some experience
