Will stabilising greenhouse gases at 500 ppm raise temperatures by over 2 deg C above pre-industrial levels?

According to the Rough Guide to Climate Change, p264, the 2005 Exeter meeting hosted by the Met Office strengthened a consensus that the best goal for climate stabilisation is a 2 degree warming above pre-industial levels. This is also an EU agreed 1996 and confirmed in 2005. In an exclusive interview in the Independent yesterday, Tony Blair said Britain was seeking international agreement on a global target for stabilising greenhouse gases, "somewhere below 550 ppm CO2e, perhaps between 500 and 550 ppm". I want to know whether such a target would conflict with the agreed EU target of keeping the global rise in temperatures to less than 2 degrees above pre-industrial levels.

Will stabilising greenhouse gases at 500 ppm raise temperatures by over 2 deg C above pre-industrial levels?
I don't know but I think its crazy of the EU to set a target of 2% when its quite possible that natural cyclical changes in the climate are occuring over 1000s of years way beyond this 2%. I though we should work with nature and not kick against it.
Reply:it doesn't matter how much they cut it down to, it will not be a safe limit unless it is zero!!

none have to be produced for over 40yrs to get rid of global warming.

scientists are making limits because the corporate busniesses told them to.

Creating a pure virtual function allows you to put a member function in an interface without being forced to provide a possibly meaningless body of code for that member function. At the same time, a pure virtual function forces inherited classes to provide a definition for it.

McC. Given that the media are quoting "Massive support" for the Mc C's, where are the crowds?

I know how the media works well enough to know that a crowd of ten can be made to look like 100, but, where are these hundreds of thousands of people who are supporting them ?, there were none at the airport, they could hardly find one in the airport, apart from that aerobics woman who was desperate to get in front of the camera, the only supporters they found were family and a close friend.

The SKY people had a crew cruising around in Rothley for 2 days with out an interview, and the only non family member I saw on TV wearing a wristband was a PJ copper, opening a door for the mother superior.....

McC. Given that the media are quoting "Massive support" for the Mc C's, where are the crowds?
I agree - the only people supporting them are the type not to know which day of the week it is................

Maybe people are being influenced by the media and if they think everyone else supports them, they're not going to be the one to say they don't. I'm sure a lot of people believe them to be guilty without feeling like they can say so. The only difference with this board is the anonymity - people can say what they really think.

Is it a bad thing for resigning from a job b/c of no pay raise or bonus after working there over a year?

I just had an interview but didn't tell the interviewer I gave a 2 week notice at my present job! He told me he wouldn't call my present job as a reference unless he was planning on hiring me. Well he called and my supervisor told him i was resigning! He called me to ask what the reason for resigning was and I told him I have not gotten a raise after a year and a half and was the only one who didn't get a bonus, so I decided resign

Is it a bad thing for resigning from a job b/c of no pay raise or bonus after working there over a year?
I think you needed a better reason to resign, personally. You couldn't wait more than a year and a half for a raise? If you were being wrongly treated I'd understand and you'd have a basis for quitting, but this? so, what if this other company doesn't give you a raise or bonus, or the next company after?

How much you wanna bet this next company doesn't hire you?

edit: I do agree with David S, it's smart (and expected) to have another job lined up when you put in your two-weeks, it's the reasoning that's killing me. I suppose it depends on the type of job and how advancement is usually handled there. Forgive me for sounding kind of smart-alecy back there.
Reply:If I were the potential employer, here’s what I’d be wondering:

If the normal policy for the company is to give yearly reviews/raises (and that’s not the case with some companies), then why didn’t you get a raise? Had you been performing up to expectations, you should have gotten one.

Why were you the only one who didn’t get a bonus? Again, if you were performing up to expectations, you should have received a bonus along with everyone else.

Honestly, I’d be leery of hiring you at this point.

You might want to re-think the reason/wording of the reason that you give potential employers for quitting.
Reply:No. It is a smart thing to have something better lined up before you quit.

Your employer is concerned with the bottom line. It is no crime for you to be concerned about your level of compensation.
Reply:You should have told the guy you interviewed with. This way, it looks like you were trying to hide something; and there's nothing wrong with leaving a job because it has no promise.
Reply:Whom did you tell your reason for quitting? Your supervisor or the interviewer? If you told your supervisor, all is OK. As stated above, you should always have a new job lined up before you leave the old one. And if you actually are lucky enough to work at a job where people care why you're leaving, it's a perfect oppportunity to tell them what they are doing wrong.

BUT-- if you told the interviewer you left because of raises and bonuses, you also just told him you will be skipping out of this job too unless you get a raise and bonus, even if they don't give them very often or feel you don't deserve one. And it is very, very fishy that you were the only one not to get a bonus. The interviewer will now ask your current supervisor about that and get an explanation that probably doesn't flatter you. So if you told that to the interviewer, you probably aren't getting this job. And now your boss knows you're leaving your current one. Oops.
Reply:I agree you probably should have let them know before they called your previous place of employment. However I don't know that it'll make a big difference.
Reply:JOB Just Over Broke. That's your problem is having a job. what does a good job give you ? salary %26amp; benefits.

Whats a companies profit? It's surplus minus cost. whats the companies biggest cost? salary %26amp; benefits. See the conflict of interest. You are an expense and the best job to have is owning your own buisness and eventually becoming an investor. Want to learn how, with no cost to you? My secret is Primerica! PFS there is an office in your area call the RVP and ask them how to become financially set for life!!
Reply:You really might have.

While that is a reasonable reason to leave. When you are at a job interview it is not your shrinks couch. That is not the time to be open and honest. That is the time to sell your self.

You when in doubt say "I feel I have learned all I can here." "I am ready to take the next step in my career."

bad things to say "They didn't give me a raise" "They didn't give me enough vacation days." "People kept waking me up from my naps."
Reply:You are screwed. Never let your new job contact your old job period. Now the dumbass(the one who screwed you) at the new job doesn't have to hire you either. Now it looks like you are job hopping for a raise and your new job to be knows that. And never ever resign until you have a firm offer in writing.

Allways play your cards close. Never let anyone see your hand. Then play the cards to your advantage not theirs. Better luck next time.

I can't see myself ever being happy b/c I will never have the four only things people need to be happy?

1 Relationship

I'm gay + ugly, and gay men are shallow and I will never meet someone since there are so few gay people in the world and fewer if any that would ever be interested in me

2 Family

I've always wanted a big family but since I can never have a wife, I can never have children and it wouldn't be fair to the child to adopt as a single man

3 Friends

I'm currently in my 2nd semester at college and have made no friends, and all my friends from high school have made friends at their colleges and I feel as though I am growing distant from them leaving for college. This lack of friends is mainly due to a severe blushing problem I have, where the slightest feeling of self consciousness (I don't even have to be embarrassed) my face will burn and I turn bright red, so almost any conversation is impossible

4 Job

I've always wanted to be a teacher or a lawyer, but with my blushing problem I could never have such a job and I can't even have a job interview because i come off bad.

Is it against the law to fire me b/c they did a background check 2 years after my hire date?

I am a fantastic hard worker. I was with a company for 2 years and was up for a job promotion to manager. I had a great interview and was a top canidate for the position. I have made a mistake in my past and now have a "blemish" on my background check. Sucks, because that does not reflect the person I am today. I know have a family and kids, and my work ethic is strong. This happened in '99. So I didnt get the promotion obviously and they also fired me! Not to mention I am 2 months pregnant. How can I overcome this? And am I eligable to collect unemployment?

Is it against the law to fire me b/c they did a background check 2 years after my hire date?
You can still file for unemployment, you may have to fight for it..but if you really need it, it's worth the fight. I have known people who were fired and still received unemployment.

I know that you will find another job, sorry for your loss. However when you fill out a job application it is considered as a binding contract. So you really should try to be honest as possible on your application. You should put down in a subtle way whatever the blemish is..but don't offer too much info. to count yourself out. I also have a blemish on my record from when I was young...I just list it as a misdemeanor and brief description and "will explain in interview" so no biased opionion can be formed without a formal interview. I also put down something as "17 years ago as a juvenile and list the age of the offense to play it safe and stress how many number of years ago it was"

Try to take it easy while pregnant although I know you want to be able to provide. Everything will work out for you in the end.
Reply:They will say you lied on your application and thus no unemployment, do not dwell on it move on and you an still use the company for a reference just know that they cannot sat why you were let go. Get the blemish removed by seeking out someoen who can help you appraoch your local court to have it expunged from your record. Minior offesnes can be taken off this way all the way up to DUI's its worth looking into if you think you will run into this problem again. Look for a local competitor to get hired on with. Good Luck
Reply:Yeah... tough... Domino's Pizza has no heart.
Reply:Just a note, I would still file for unemployment.

Many companies do not even answer the paperwork sent out and sometimes they are very lax when it comes to giving out benefits.
Reply:no your not eligable for unemployment - unless you were Laid off and not fired and if u quit you can't get it either

BUT as far as waiting 2 yrs to do a background check then firing you - I'm not sure if they can do it leglally, I'd suggest calling a lawyer and asking them you can ask them questions for free
Reply:A similar instance of firing an individual after a background check revealed that she had made up college degrees that she never earned; after some 20 years of employment as an admission director at MIT. She was fired immediately, and of course, there was no unemployment benefits given to her since her whole employment achievement was fraudulently based.

And in your case, even after 2 years of exemplary conduct, your past has come full face to force your termination and also not allowing you to receive unemployment compensation.

Good luck!

When I got out of the d.c. the judge said she was going to staff me in the treatment center, wat dus dat mean?

I just mainly want to know what staff means I mean I always thought it was a rod of some sort but the judge used it as she is going to staff me there, what does that mean? does it mean that I am going to be there if I mess up again or that im going anyway, and next week I have a interview with them.. So im kinda scared, but what dont make sence is that they let me come home... Please answer my question...

When I got out of the d.c. the judge said she was going to staff me in the treatment center, wat dus dat mean?
Sounds to me like the judge is having you interviewed (or staffed which means interviewed) by the treatment facility. She may feel you need further treatment for whatever the problem was that landed you in your current situation.

Can we do permutations and combinations in c++?

Can we do permutations and combinations in c++?
C, as a programming language, offers the best capabilities. If you have developed a suitable logic, you can definitely do that.

Can you write a "split" function in C?

I blew an interview because I screwed up my pointer arithmetic while parsing a string:

Here is the syntax:

prompt%26gt;./split "This Is an input string" " "

output:

This

is

an

input

string

or:

prompt%26gt;./split "This is an input string" "p"

output:

this is an in

ut string

I tried putting '\0' wherever the split character occurred, but I couldn't turn it into an array of substrings.

Any ideas?

Can you write a "split" function in C?
Only strlen, strcpy, and strcat, eh? That's pretty harsh. I think you have the right idea putting '\0' at the split points. Instead of creating an array of substrings, though, create an array of pointers to the substrings.

Pseudocode:

char *s points to your input string

S is an array of pointers to char

char *p declared to walk through the input string

initialize p = s, i = 0

do {

set S[i++] = p

set p to next split point

set *p = '\0'

p = p + 1

} until last substring found

How about that? You don't even need any of those string.h functions!
Reply:And you weren't allowed to use strtok?

My boyfriend has an interview on Monday and I'm just helping him out.

I'm next to the A and C train and the B46 bus, I would like to know how to get to LaGuardia Airport?
Get to any stop (Times Square) where you can pick-up the #7 train. Take the Flushing bound # 7 to 82 st station in Jackson Heights. Go downstairs and take the Q33 bus to LaGuardia.

Is it wrong that I didn't want to tell my mother about a job interview that I had?

I always figure "what's the point", b/c my brother tells her everything I tell him and vice versa. She's been kind of helping me out, but I don't know if I should tell her or wait until I get hired.

Is it wrong that I didn't want to tell my mother about a job interview that I had?
I have never told my parents when I was going on an interview. They would see me all dressed up with my portfolio, but they would never say anything and I wouldn't tell them anything. I just didn't want them to get their hopes up. And I think they knew if they started asking questions, I'd get nervous and distant. But, when I got the job, they were the first to know.
Reply:I think you should tell her yourself. You need to make sure your not doing this behind her back, cause if your mom don't like where you work or the hours you will not have that job long.
Reply:perhaps your mother meddles. it isnt a crime, the intentions of a mother are never bad, though their technique leaves something to be desired a lot of the time. you probably have her hovering over you alot, always offering her advice and so on... you are doing this because it is probably some of the little bit of independence you feel you have left. you want to do this on your own, by yourself.
Reply:No, but she feels left out.
Reply:You should tell your mother about your interview. And she shouldnt be hearing things from your brother she should hear it from you. Also there is nothing wrong with getting some support and ecouragment from your mother. GOOD LUCK. I hope you get the job.

Why is it that Rep. Ron Paul (Tx) can't get a post debate interview for the Republican debates?

Ron Paul got the majority of poll debates (30%) when Romney and Guliani only received less than 18% respectively. Is this not an indicator that the "war on terror" is a sham. And that 9/11 and the pretext for war goes against what most Americans feel and know?! C'mon Americans wake up! The handwriting is on the wall. Please, start being Americans!

Why is it that Rep. Ron Paul (Tx) can't get a post debate interview for the Republican debates?
Ron Paul has my vote! The Media has both Dems and Repubs in it's pocket and they want to keep it that way. Ron Paul wants to restore lawful government and if that happened, America would stop supporting the State of Israel, and the Jewish-controlled Media will do anything to stop that from happening.
Reply:Zionist can also be Christians, Muslims and Jews. Zionism was founded in 1897 in Basel, Switzerland. 90% who attended were of non-semetic origin. Report It

Reply:The largest applause of the debate was when Rudy slammed his idiotic statement about the War. Only a dem or a family member could believe that guy has a chance.
Reply:They'll put him on last, after they've misrepresented what he said, for an hour or so.

They HATE guys who tell the truth and stand for the Constitution.
Reply:The reason he polls so high is because all of the democrats who are polled go for him because he's the only one blasting the war. Take out the democrats and Ron Paul won't even register.

Liberals make me laugh because they think Bush is a dark Genius villian who planned 9/11 and used it to push a foriegn policy agenda, but is too stupid to run a war.

Yeah, this make a ton of sense.

P.S.:Guliani made Ron Paul look stupid.
Reply:Your campaign tactics are hilarious. They're not helping.
Reply:I like what I saw from this guy especially his point on foreign policy and government spending.
Reply:Ron paul is the only one that tells the truth about what's really happening. If you want real freedom vote for Ron Paul!
Reply:I am really tired of people saying its Liberals or Democrats voting for Paul. Paul has got it right when it comes to what our foreign policy should be. If you didn't catch it he was talking about what he read in Reagans memoires. Impressive to me. I really think people are just scared to believe the truth. What do labels do anyway? Liberal Democrat Republican?

What about an honerable man who stands up for the Constitution, always has and always will???

WHat is wrong with giving us more freedom? What is wrong with breaking up huge corporations and lobbyists? What is so wrong with minding our own business unless it is a serious threat to our nation? Are you people stupid?
Reply:Well... put it this way. Look at what a mess the last person who ran for President from Texas made.

Sky Sports news - Jan 31st - C ronaldo and T Sheringham?

I was watching the healines on sky sports news this morning at 8am and when they said what was coming up , they said something about Cristiano Ronaldo and Teddy Sheringham . I wanted to see the interview/ clip whatever it was but i had to leave the house.......can someone tell me what it was a bout PLEASE ????

Sky Sports news - Jan 31st - C ronaldo and T Sheringham?
It might have been one of these. They were both news items on the box.

Teddy was supposedly linked to a return to White Hart Lane. He's ditched his bird from Big Brother too.

There was talk of Ronaldo being involved in a part exchange deal with Barcelona, for Xavi, (is that how you spell it)? It could go through in the summer.

Has the R. S. P. C. A. gone power mad?.....?

It appears that ever since the new law came into force in the UK, the RSPCA is now behaving like a third rate police force. Is no longer a case of "can we be of help or assistance"? It is now a case of "You have committed an offence"....and that is immeadiatly followed up by "The reading of a caution"..and make no mistake, its a rip off of on what a police officer reads you when they caution you. And once they remove your animal, you will be lucky, after they have given you a formal interview if you ever see your pet again. And you can contaqct them till your blue in the face....at best they ignore you. As well as this, they stage raids on other people who are known for caring for animals and remove the animals from their care. I have witnessed the rspca at work first hand since the new law was brought in and i have radically changed my view of them. Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals? Nope, its: Really Stupid People Creating Aggrevation.

Has the R. S. P. C. A. gone power mad?.....?
I agree with you. The RSPCA are the richest charity in the UK because they know how much Britons think of their animals. I once called them because there was a puppy in agony on a pavement after being hit by a car. They refused to come out telling me instead to call the local council. I knew that the council would just put the animal down after 7 days and so I paid the vets bill. Oh yes, and I also cancelled the £500 per year I gave to the RSPCA. They ignored my letters and 'phone calls about the matter.
Reply:they behave like animals
Reply:Have had reasons in the past years to try to get help for truly sick or injured animals and the RSPCA have never wanted to know ..... so have not bothered with them for years they are useless .
Reply:If in doing this, they are protecting animals from being hurt or badly neglected, then all power to them.

Its about time they showed their teeth,

'can we be of help or assistance' doesnt have a lot of effect with some people who are making animals suffer.
Reply:Righto... the RSPCA were fine when they came to check up on us - a neighbour of ours told them that our pet sheep were being mistreated (I don't know why, maybe they saw a goose peck them or something) but they came out and said we had the best looking sheep they've seen.

They don't take animals unless they are worried about them, aren't you a little bit grateful that someone has an eye out for animals?
Reply:they do a good job
Reply:From the details in your question it sounds like Corruption.
Reply:Have you ever tried Crispy puppy...its very nice..
Reply:I lived nextdoor to a cat horder whos cats were in bad need of medical attention and somewhere safe to stay (she kept them outside all year with no shelter and a wire net over the top of them) when i called the rspca "we cant help unless they are really skinny" never mind the fact there were cats dying due to neglect and lack of medical treatment! the stench was so bad we couldnt go in our garden in summer!

i know of a few cases that they have delt with that needed the animals taking for their safety and they never were. One including a riding school whos horses were so thin that you could see every bone and they had no muscle what was their answer? "we will give you a year to get the horses fatter" lets say the schools owner was happy as she moved a few months later and took the horses to somewhere even more run down!

Im sure that when they do actually go and do their work that they do it well but from what i have seen they dont do much with their money. have you ever been to an rspca rehoming centre? i have and lets just say they should put more money into their centres and less on coloured paper clips!
Reply:So what cruelties did you inflict on your poor pet?
Reply:Ive not heard of anything like that, if its true then they will lose all respect from the public along with donations. They have to be willing to help and only take the aminal after a court order is granted. They are not able to act like that on their own.
Reply:The rspca is a good thing, if you have a problem with them then maybe you should not have animals. They work to protect and ensure animals welfare, not to kiss *** and make the people happy. They are for the animals and I support them in their job.

Sometimes people need to stand up for the animals, and if that pisses off a few people, oh well.

they will just have to deal
Reply:having fostered many animals that have been abused by their owners and took off them by the rspca i think they should have more power to save these animals, they dont take your pet away from you for no reason so if you dont neglect/abuse your animals you have nothing to worry about do you !!!
Reply:Anyone in Scotland and N Ireland don't donate to RSPCA its the mistake that a lot of people do but RSPCA is for England and Wales. Ulster and Scotland have their own the SSPCA in Scotland and the USPCA in Ulster.

Oh and RSPCA still take donations from people from N Ireland and Scotland instead of fowarding them to SSPCA or the USPCA.

The Presidental race is on ? (C. theory)?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080321/ap_o...

"The incidents raise questions as to whether the information was accessed for political purposes and why two contractors involved in the Obama search were dismissed before investigators had a chance to interview them. It recalled an incident in 1992, when a Republican political appointee at the State Department was demoted over a search of presidential candidate Bill Clinton's passport records. At the time, Clinton was challenging President George H.W. Bush."

Oct. 19 1992:

"Coming on the eve of the crucial first debate, the apparent aim of the Bush strategy was to sow new doubts about Clinton's trustworthiness and rattle the Democrat into making fresh gaffes"

Will the republicans now have enough ammunitions from the documents to win the elections this year ? Whatever it is..

The Presidental race is on ? (C. theory)?
Oh there are so many conspiracy than can come out of this whole incident. However, what I thought of right away was Nixon and Watergate and maybe either Obama or Clinton, or McCain's parties went in there to try to destroy the other, while at the same time accessing their own file so no one would be suspicious.. The article did say that the information did contain the social security numbers of all three and once they have your social security number they can access all kinds of info.

I use to work at a bank, but not anymore. My advice to you is to call your local bank and tell them what you are needing. The bank I worked at was always having students in to help with the banking process and such. good luck.
Reply:I am an Fin. Planr. (Wink), but I charge $ 125.00 for the first session so I cannot help you.

Is David Archuleta gay? C'mon there is no way he cannot be gay?

I love David Archuleta. He is soo sweet. So cute. So talent

BUT I can't help it but wonder whether he is gay or not?

I mean he acts sooo gay. When I look at him I can't see him with a girl because he is too effeminate. Case and point, how many straight guys out there say "This week has been FANTASTIC" while in an American Idol interview before he performed "Heaven." Further, I understand that he is mormon but he has even mention that he has never been with a girl before. Could he use his religion as an excuse---makes you think.

Whatever the case is David---just know that you have people out there that love you! Be careful about the mormons IF IT TURNS OUT THAT YOU ARE GAY.

I love David REGARDLESS OF WHETHER HE IS GAY OR NOT. YOU SHOULD TOO.

Is David Archuleta gay? C'mon there is no way he cannot be gay?
I was thinking the same thing too. Yes i do remember him saying "fantastic" and right there I said "YES HE IS GAY."

However I don't think that people should care whether he is gay or not. But I know some assholes here WILL hate him if he says it. Sad---it's really sad. BUT I do believe that there are enough people to love him to make him a superstar.

GO DAVID ARCHULETA!!!
Reply:Yup his gay.
Reply:I don't agree. He's not...
Reply:I agree sadly he is not gay.
Reply:no, sadly i dont think he is gay
Reply:Well I have come to learn that most of the REALLY hot guys are either gay or taken

:(
Reply:Oh yeah he is gay! Great voice and one of my favorites on American Idol.

I can't wait for his album to come out. No one in the right mind can say that he isn't gay unless they are fooling themselves.
Reply:Dude, he has a girlfriend. Remember her in the audience?!
Reply:God I hope so. You really will never know until he tells everyone which will not happen for a very long time.
Reply:he isnt
Reply:Yes, I do have my suspicions.
Reply:I don't mean to be cruel or mean ... BUT; it is no ones business what anothers sexual identity is .... Unless that person brings it up .....

David Archuleta is a young man , doing a good job on Idol and should be left alone to compete and not be stressed out over folks trying to snd guess his sexual orientation ....

What should i put as my objective in the resume 4 management institute interview?....?

i got a call for GD/PI from Birla Institute of management and technology........ please help me out...... if anyone has sample resume mail it to c.balaji3@gmail.com

What should i put as my objective in the resume 4 management institute interview?....?
I suggest you write a sentence for your objective that reflects your knowledge of the position for which you are applying or that expresses how your plans for your career match the goals of the company ( be subtle).

For example - if you were applying for a management position with a chemical manufacturer your 'objective' statement might be something like:

Objective: A permanent position permitting personal growth, leadership opportunity and development of my skills in chemical engineering in an international manufacturing environment.

Get the idea? Please see the two websites listed below for more specific information. Tip: use your word-processor to individualize your resume or CV, especially the 'objective' statement and brief description of your skills and abilities.

What is oracle, sap, c++, sap?

I've got i new job, my work is to hiar new people those are perfact in these computer programs. My employer want me to know about basic knowlege of these all , so that i can be able to take interview these people and match there profile to the relevent job.

What is oracle, sap, c++, sap?
ratheesh k gave a very thorough explanation but I'll throw in one clarification.

Oracle, the company, has many products. The database is the flagship but it also has other lines of products including middleware like web application and integration server production as well as ERP software of its own.

Peoplesoft was mentioned among ERP products but it should be worth mentioning that Oracle owns and supports Peoplesoft Enterprise and the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP systems as well. JDE was bought by PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft was bought by Oracle.
Reply:ORACLE:

The relational database management system (RDBMS) officially called Oracle Database (and commonly referred to as Oracle RDBMS or simply as Oracle) has become a major presence in database computing. Oracle Corporation produces and markets this software.

Larry Ellison and his friends and former co-workers Bob Miner and Ed Oates started the consultancy Software Development Laboratories (SDL) in 1977. SDL developed the original version of the Oracle software. The name Oracle comes from the code-name of a CIA-funded project Ellison had worked on while previously employed by Ampex.

C++:

C++ (pronounced /ˌsiːˌplʌsˈplʌs/) is a general-purpose programming language. C++ is regarded as a mid-level language, as it comprises a combination of both high-level and low-level language features.[1] It is a statically typed, free-form, multi-paradigm, usually compiled language supporting procedural programming, data abstraction, object-oriented programming, and generic programming.

Bjarne Stroustrup developed C++ in 1979 at Bell Labs as an enhancement to the C programming language and named it "C with Classes". In 1983 it was renamed to C++. Enhancements started with the addition of classes, followed by, among other features, virtual functions, operator overloading, multiple inheritance, templates, and exception handling. The C++ programming language standard was ratified in 1998 as ISO/IEC 14882:1998, the current version of which is the 2003 version, ISO/IEC 14882:2003. A new version of the standard (known informally as C++0x) is being developed.

SAP:

Systems, Applications, Products in data processing or SAP was originally introduced in the 1980’s as SAP R/2, which was a system that provided users with a soft-real-time business application that could be used with multiple currencies and languages. As Client-servers began to be introduced SAP brought out a server based version of their software called SAP R/3, henceforth referred to as SAP, which was launched in 1992. SAP also developed a graphical user interface, or GUI, to make the system more user friendly and to move away from the mainframe style user interface.

For the next 10 years SAP dominated the large business applications market. It was successful primarily because it was extremely flexible. Because SAP was a modular system (meaning that the various functions provided by it could be purchased piecemeal) it was an extremely versatile system. A company could simply purchase modules that they wanted and customize the processes to match the company’s business model. SAP’s flexibility, while one of its greatest strengths is also one of its greatest weaknesses that lead to the SAP audit.

There are three main enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems used in today’s larger businesses: SAP, Oracle, and PeopleSoft. ERP's are specifically designed to help with the accounting function and the control over various other aspects of the companies business such as sales, delivery, production, human resources, and inventory management. Despite the benefits of ERP’s, there are also many potential pitfalls that companies who turn to ERP’s occasionally fall into.

Being a fresher(B.C.A.) why should we pay you 1.2-1.8 p.a.?

I was asked this question in an interview. Why not less than this or more than this?

Being a fresher(B.C.A.) why should we pay you 1.2-1.8 p.a.?
Hey Anita r u BCA student. Contact me urgently....................

I have an idea for you.............. Msg me fast...
Reply:Every job deserves a reasonable rate of pay. If the rate of pay is below what you think is reasonable, then the answer is "I am not available for a sum lower."
Reply:That's just to confuse and drive away the interviewees!
Reply:I am worth lot more I think.

But.

I will be happy with 1.8, this is what you have advertise, is not it ? or that is what your pay scale range, it not it?

There is a book you should read, "what is the colour of your parasuite".

Get it from a library, On Internet or from a book stores.
Reply:Hello,

It is a simple demand-supply economics working against the fresh graduates. Once they gain experience it is these companies who are falling over each other to give lucrative offers !! Bide your time till then and you will have an opportunity take revenge on them ;-)

Thanks

T.V.: Who watches C-Span Washington Journal?

I do, most daily %26amp; some congress sessions etc. %26amp; week-Books.---Last week did you see 1994 taped interview of

Cheney, Saying we should never go into war in Iraq, he related to the "T" what would happen if we did, all that happened %26amp; is

happening, It blew my mind!!!! Why did not "ALL" of congress

remember and review his words!!!! Why isn't this Q asked of

"ALL" of them at debates? Both Dems?Reps.

T.V.: Who watches C-Span Washington Journal?
Ah the dance known as the Capitol Two-Step. Bush Sr. campaigned for federal abortion funds but then changed his position when he became Reagan's running mate!

I saw that Cheney interview twice, first on The Daily SHow and then (of all things) CNN showed it on a clip of The Daily Show - I guess CNN doesn't watch CSPAN.

Cheney did a great job of predicting the mess we would make in going all the way to Baghdad to take out Saddam. The big question is, what changed? I'm sure he'll tell you it was 9/11, WMDs, etc. but let's face it - in 1994 he and his Halliburton buddies were not in the same position to benefit personally from the war.

Which job should I choose? Job A, B or C?

In the free time. %26amp; probably txt on my fone.I dont know anyone who work there and they are all older people. I went to the interview and I am hired!

Subway A-

I am hired here also. The manager was like okay. I am posting the schedule.. %26amp; he seems very strict. He said no friends hanging out no txting no nothing.. %26amp; those ppl kinda tense there.. Kinda scares me.

Which job should I choose? Job A, B or C?
Job c sounds the one you are most interested in. Take the one you like the most even if it is a little less salary.
Reply:why don't you call and ask for the wages for each job. This is something that should really be taken into consideration before accepting a job. What if one pays $10 an hour, but the other only pays $6 an hour. Befoe accepting any of the jobs, you should find out the pay and then make your decision.

How conpeitive to become a leasing consultant in O.C area?

I have been denied my application for leasing consultant position over 10 companies in past 2 months. I have B.A degree, have experience with sales and customer service. I always get to interview stage, but that's as far as I 'd ever gone so far. I show my enthusiasm and I try my best by researching the company preparing the interview but no luck. At this point, I wonder if my accent is the factor of my disqualification. I do have strong accent. I really have no clue. I feel that I qualify for it yet I never got the offer. Please someone tell me why I don't get hired as a leasing consultant ever?!

Suppose you walk into the capitol building in Washington and ask to interview the most prominent person in the

entire Congress. If you're lucky, you'll get an appointment with the

A. president pro tempore of the Senate.

B. Speaker of the House.

C. vice president of the United States.

D. chair of the House Appropriations Committee.

I've got a few questions posted tonight, need some help if you have knowledge in this area. My actual books are in the mail, just haven't arrived, so I'm trying to work ahead of them and do as much online research as I can. So I really appreciate anyones input.
