Some English phases questions. What does "Call on" mean? It means to interview someone or to visit someone?

And more English questions.


1:"there is some water" or "there are some water", which one is right.


2:"I am not going to school next year, but _____ another year, I will go to."


A: next B:in C:one (which should I fill in)


3:What I want to do is_____work.


A: go to B: going to C: to go to


*maybe the answers are not right, please tell me the accurate one.

"Call on" can mean to visit or to ask someone for help.

Reply:"Call on you" can mean the person saying it intends to pay you a visit, it can also mean that he/she intends to ask you to answer a question in class, in either case they are telling you to be prepared for some future action they are going to take involving you.





"there is some water", water is a group or collective noun, but is singular so takes a singular verb.





"in", but the sentence is somewhat scrambled, use: "I am not going to school next year, but I will go in another year."





either "go to" or "to go to"
