What is a good way to say these things for an interview?

1. being fired ( i was once fired for excessive absences. I was very immature at the time 10 yrs ago)

2. I quit a job b/c i really had no desire to work there anymore the mgr. was a horror.(but now i am applying for the same field)

what are professional ways to say these things?

1. Ten years ago? That a long time. Can't you just leave it off? If you must, its good that you admit you were immature. It shows that you have grown.

2. Dont say your manager was a horror. You need to demonstrate the ability to work with "difficult personalities". Perhaps say that you left for personal reasons, you preferred to pursue "XYW" at the time, and it was a good time to leave, with the work slowing down...
Reply:Learntosucceed.biz offers materials on topics like this. Also you can speak to the author about your situation on the phone. I highly recommend them. They helped me become a more marketable potential employee and are still helping move up at my company.
Reply:1. due to personal problems i have no choice but to leave the workplace. My company second that by initiating my leave.

2. i decided to source for a more challenging work under the same area of field.
