I have done my MCA and i tried for job from one year and i havent got . so i am changing my resume to get interview calls . so i learnt little of linux and i am searching for one good computer language which can fetch me few interviews . please suggest friends
Please suggest me a computer language apart from c , c++ ,java , .net , sap . i know linux?
How about learning some server/client side programming (web programming) like PHP or Perl/CGI? Learn these complete with database (like mySQL).
Assembly language (though a bit difficult and tedious to study and code since it's OS dependent) would make a great addition to your programming skills.
Reply:assembly languages
Reply:you could learn cobol (common business oriented language)
and study some html and programs like dreamweaver and photoshop so you can do more net work for people.
Reply:Unfortunately, you've managed to exclude the most in demand programming languages so I don't think you'll be getting as many interviews if you purposely avoid them. Cobol and Assembler could be useful for those really niche jobs, but personally I wouldn't spend much time on them. What have you got against Java, C and .Net?
Reply:perl and shell-scripting are both great-to-have skills on the linux platform.
Reply:Java, or .NET. There are probably the most popular launguges used in enterprise programming. Which is what most companies are using to write their company wide software. I suggest J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) Java I believe is more powerful the .Net since Java is platform independent where .Net will only work on a Windows machine.
Good Luck, I'm in the same boat as you, I've got an Associates and looking for an entry leve position to build up my experience.
Experience is key in the computer programming field. Most companies are looking for at the very least 2 years of experience.
