What should I wear... I have an outfit put together but I'm not sure it's the right one! It's a multicolor shirt with white, black, grayish, greenish and a dark gray pair of pants with black small heels! (I love the shoes)!!!!! I'm not sure on how to wear my makeup... Pictures would help! How do I act! I'm not the prettiest girl out there or the skinniest and I'm scared they won't hire me b/c of that! I have nice clothes and makeup but I'm afraid they'll look at the person behind the clothes and think EWWW... a fat ugly chick she can't work here! It'll be in the Jewelery department and that's where you always see the prettiest girls! I'm great with people I love talking to them and getting to know them and everything! I'm just not sure they'll hire me b/c of those reasons! What do ya'll think? I'm really scared and freaking out about it! Thanks for your help! And please no harsh comments... I can do without those... I don't disrespect you! Thanks again!
I've got an interview at Sear's (in the mall) Tomorrow?! Help!?
Ok I work at Sears, and let me assure you - there are many girls that work there that aren't the "prettiest" or the "skinniest".... it's not like a Hollister or Abercrombie store where you expect everyone to look like a model. They make you wear black or khaki pants and a white or black shirt as a uniform, but it does NOT matter what you wear in the interview. I wore jeans and a tshirt..most ppl do. As far as working in the jewelry department, we've never had a slim girl work in our jewelry dept, so idk.. Just be yourself, be outgoing and confident and smile a lot!
Reply:your shirt sounds kinda wierd, but other than that cute outfit! stop worrying about your looks - you'll do fine!
Reply:Just be confident, and your outfit sounds fine. Just do your makeup as usual, and maybe, wear slightly less so you don't look over done. Some of the nicest people I know are NOT skinny, so don't worry about that. I know you've heard this before, but if they are truly nice people, they won't care about your weight. They will be looking for someone who can sell jewelry, not be eye candy. Remember, BE CONFIDENT!!
Reply:Just relax and be yourself. Have a close friend or family member review what you're thinking about wearing. Many adults have been through these very same scenarios, take advantage of their experience and have them help you make sure this job interview goes smoothly without a hitch.
Reply:Calm down. Very little make-up and conservative clothing that is ironed well.
Reply:As long as you put yourself together nicely %26amp; don't overdo the makeup, relax %26amp; be yourself. The outfit sounds great!
Reply:No way..be yourself people should like you for who you are, not whats on the outside..plus it sounds like you have a great personality..that should be enough by the way your outfit sounds cute. :-)
Reply:Congratulations on the job!!! Is this your first job? Just go into the job and be yourself, I know it sounds generic but being genuine always works, it's when people try to be someone else that people don't like them. Also, don't be all worried about your appearance, once you get out of high school you'll realize it doesn't really matter that much. Also, I'm sure you'll get the job so the best advice I can give you is to put some money away and save some money.
Reply:Look em straight in the eye, smile, be serious and nice at the same time, dont show them you are nervous (sign of weakness) and try to show them you are a capable salesperson. As the clothes go: I have no idea....Im a guy, whatd ya expect?
Reply:Make sure you are 10 minutes early, clothes sound ok, natural color make up, no crazy colors on face or nails, smile a lot, don't swear, do talk negative, be positive, if you have no clue say so but say you are willing to learn, you are a fast learner, always be honest, Sears jobs are a piece of cake : ) smile smile smile. Good luck

Reply:First of all, learn how to spell Sears correctly. Then realize that Sears is not a fashion mecca. They probably make everyone wear khakis and a polo shirt. They wouldn't hire you if they didn't think you would be an asset to their company - so don't worry! Everything will go fine!
Reply:look proffesional a dark pant suit your hired !!!!!!!!!!! gl
Reply:Just be yourself. Keep your wardrobe simple. Don't over exaggerate yourself or your answers. Don't make your interview predictable. Make sure you have a laugh or 2 and be calm and collected. Don't "pretend" to be someone you're not. Interviewers can see right through you.
I had an interview with GUESS and I didn't think I was Guess material but I came in cool, I dressed myself up in a nice black top with grey dress pants and stilettos. We had a group interview and everyones answers were so typical, but I said answers that were "examples" of what to expect not because you like sears brand blah blah! They get bored of that. I got the JOB :)
Reply:just dress how you see their employess dressed. I was hired their last year, it's an interview with an initial screener, and then the main supervisor. if you look like one of their employees, they have no reason to fear hiring you.
dont be nervous, it's a very easy job to get, especially if you work in home appliance which is almost 100% commission.
Reply:First of all, don;t be so hard on yourself. I am sure you look fine. You will want to do yourself up to look professional. Go easy on the make-up and dress conservatively.
Prepare yourself for the interview by getting some answers ready. They will most likely ask you why you are interested in working there, what you have to offer, etc. By preparing yourself you won't feel so nervous.
Reply:Just wondering why you would ever want to work at sears.... judging from their products they aren't too concerned with fashion and what you are going to wear
Good luck....
Reply:outfit sounds great you just go in there and be yourself. act professional and you will be ok. good luck
Reply:since its a job interview, wear something comfortable and not revealing. look put together and act mature. if you have a good enough application and you dont seem like a lunatic then it does matter if you 100 pounds or 300 pounds, if they like you, you should do just fine
