Is it okay to not wear a full matching suit for a second interview? the job is in the fashion industry.?

i didn't take/get the job the first time b/c my salary requirements were above what they were offering, although they liked me. the person they hired did not work out. now, we are meeting again in hopes to find a compromise on salary. (i believe they are interviewing others.) the office is casual; everyone was in jeans. i have a very smart outfit picked out, but it is not a full suit. basically a black pinstriped jacket with black cropped wide pants... is this okay for a fashion job?

Casual is NOT OK, but since it is a fashion industry job, something less than a suit as you described should be appropriate.
Reply:I won't do it. As a person who is being examined (that's what interview is), you must be the best you can be. It doesn't matter at all, what everybody else who already have job are wearing.

Go in a suit. You can't go wrong with it and it shows respect.
Reply:you always want to dress professionaly for interviews even if the environment is very casual. the jacket sounds nice but i would look for straight leg pants or a skirt.

Good Luck!
